President Donald Trump and his team gathered at the White House on Tuesday to tick off their achievements so far in 2025 and to preview what’s ahead in 2026.

Slashing regulations, lowering costs of gasoline and electricity, and “abundant” energy production were themes in the president’s Cabinet meeting, where senior officials recapped their first year in office. Trump declared 2025 the “most consequential and successful first year of any administration.”

Trump claimed credit for rescinding the Biden administration’s climate and renewable energy policies, which he regularly refers to broadly as the “Green New Scam.”
