“Just because the radical left calls something a ‘green industry’ does not give any company a free pass to harm Texas countryside,” said state Attorney General Ken Paxton (R).

Texas has sued a fiberglass recycling company for dumping wind turbine parts on Lone Star State lands.

State Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) said in the lawsuit that Global Fiberglass Solutions, an international company with a recycling and manufacturing plant in Texas, illegally created a stockpile of over 3,000 discarded wind turbine blades and other parts across two dump sites.

Global Fiberglass Solutions was hired by other companies to break down, transport and recycle the parts, but Texas’ lawsuit, filed last week in state court, asserted that the waste piles violate state law.

“Illegal disposal of wind turbines hurts our land and will never be permitted under my watch,” Paxton wrote in a press release accompanying the lawsuit. “Just because the radical left calls something a ‘green industry’ does not give any company a free pass to harm Texas countryside, break our laws, and leave Texans to deal with the negative impacts.”
