An EPA political appointee under the first Trump administration is now overseeing the Army Corps of Engineers in an acting capacity.

Dennis “Lee” Forsgren, who worked in EPA’s water office and most recently was an attorney at the lobbying firm HBW Resources, is serving as acting assistant secretary of the Army for civil works. He started on the job — which directs the Army Corps — in early April, according to an online Army biography.

President Donald Trump has nominated Adam Telle, former chief of staff for Sen. Bill Hagerty (R-Tenn.), for the job, but Telle has yet to be confirmed.
