An ally of President Donald Trump who’s building a White House environmental advisory group said he’s slowly overcoming hurdles to establish the group and taking pitches on what problems to focus on first.
Trump last month tapped Ed Russo, a Key West businessman and his longtime adviser, to assemble a task force focused on “clean air and clean water.”
Since then, Russo has been busy working to create the group and recruiting members, including Robert Barrett, who served as president of a water-testing firm called Aqua Pro-Tech Laboratories.
But Russo in a wide-ranging webinar Tuesday hosted by ConservAmerica, a conservative environmental advocacy group, said he’s having to work through regulatory procedures and policies that are proving frustrating
