One of the many issues that unite President Donald Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is their shared disdain for so-called electric tanks.

Trump frequently attacked the concept on the 2024 campaign trail, and Hegseth has held up the vehicles as an example of liberal policies run amok — saying last week they would be outlawed during his watch at the Pentagon.

“No more climate change worship. No more electric tanks,” Hegseth said last week during an address at the U.S. Army War College in Pennsylvania. “No more woke bullshit.”
