President-elect Donald Trump on Sunday named picks for positions that will help guide his efforts to downsize the federal government.

Trump announced that Katie Miller, a former Trump administration aide, will join the government-downsizing effort known as the Department of Government Efficiency. The president-elect named venture capitalist Scott Kupor as his nominee to lead the Office of Personnel Management, the agency that oversees the federal workforce.

The president-elect also announced nominees for key science, economic and agriculture jobs. He named his former White House aide Michael Kratsios as his pick to lead the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, former Agriculture Department general counsel Stephen Vaden to be deputy secretary of USDA, and former Treasury Department official Stephen Miran to chair the Council of Economic Advisers.

Both Miller and Kupor are expected to work closely with Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy — the incoming leaders of the so-called DOGE effort — as part of Trump’s broader effort to slash regulations and fire federal employees.
