President Donald Trump on Thursday signed five resolutions to scrap Biden-era restrictions on land use and fossil fuel development.
Lawmakers approved the resolutions under the Congressional Review Act, which makes it easier for them to repeal recently issued rules. Because Biden officials didn’t submit its actions as rules, it kept them vulnerable to Republican attacks.
“Natural Resources Committee Republicans have been working hand in hand with the Trump administration to reopen public lands and deliver affordable energy to American families,” said Chair Bruce Westerman (R-Ark.) in a statement.
