KRISTI E. SWARTZ
Kristi is a reporter with Energywire based in Atlanta. She joined the company in 2014 and has written about utility and energy topics in the Southeast, including the region’s transition away from coal to natural gas and the sporadic growth of renewable energy, particularly solar. Other areas of focus include state regulatory policy and nuclear power. Before joining E&E News, Kristi was a business reporter at The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and covered utilities and energy for The Palm Beach Post. She also worked at newspapers in North Carolina. Kristi graduated from the University of Maryland in 1998 with a degree in journalism.
