LAURA MAGGI

Laura worked in Louisiana for 17 years, covering Hurricane Katrina and many other natural disasters. She served as metro editor of The Advocate in Baton Rouge and deputy editor with The New Orleans Advocate. As a reporter, Laura covered state government, politics, criminal justice and health care for The Times-Picayune in New Orleans. Laura also was the managing editor of Route Fifty, a website based in Washington, D.C., covering state and local government news.
