The Senate on Tuesday confirmed a longtime conservative lawyer, who helped write Project 2025 and has called for an overhaul of federal environmental policies, to serve as second-in-command at the Department of Transportation.

Steven Bradbury won confirmation as deputy secretary 51-46, with every Republican present and no Democrat voting in favor.

Bradbury is a distinguished fellow at the Heritage Foundation, where he worked on the transportation section of Project 2025, which was billed as a blueprint for a second Trump term.
